Erster Arbeitstag

Deutsch:
Da heute mein erster Arbeitstag sein soll, bin ich um 5:00 Uhr aufgestanden, habe mich fertig gemacht und wurde um 5:30 Uhr am Parkplatz abgeholt. Zusammen sind wir zur Werkstatt gefahren und ich habe Jimmy meinen Chef kennengelernt, er ist sehr nett und ich bin gespannt, wie die Arbeit sein wird. Der Malerbetrieb besteht nur aus ihm und der aktuelle Auftrag ist das schleifen und neu lackieren eines Traktors. Den restlichen Tag habe ich damit verbracht, den Traktor mit Schleifgeräten und Schleifpapier zu bearbeiten. Die Arbeit ist durch die Kollegen ganz in Ordnung und da ich Podcast hören kann, geht die Zeit auch ganz gut um. Nach 12 Stunden haben wir unseren Arbeitstag beendet. Netterweise hat mich mein Chef dazu eingeladen, bei ihm im Garten mein Auto abzustellen und zu campen, sodass er mich morgens mit zur Arbeit nehmen kann und ich eine Dusche habe. Also bin ich langsam mit meinem Auto dorthin gefahren, um keine weiteren Schäden zu verursachen. Ein weiterer praktischer Fakt ist, dass sein Bruder ein Automechaniker ist und eine Werkstatt hat. Dieser wird mir im Laufe der nächsten Woche helfen. Bei ihm zu Hause angekommen, habe ich natürlich auch seine Frau und seine Kinder kennengelernt, die alle ebenfalls sehr nett sind. Nachdem mein Zelt und alles aufgebaut war habe ich mir etwas Abendessen gekocht und bin im Anschluss schlafen gegangen, um fit für den nächsten Tag zu sein.

Since today is supposed to be my first day at work, I got up at 5:00 a.m., got ready and was picked up at 5:30 a.m. at the parking lot. We drove to the workshop together and I met Jimmy, my boss, who is very nice and I'm looking forward to seeing what the work will be like. The painting company consists only of him and the current job is sanding and repainting a tractor. I spent the rest of the day working on the tractor with sanding equipment and sandpaper. The work is okay because of my colleagues and since I can listen to podcasts, the time goes by quite well. We finished our working day after 12 hours. My boss kindly invited me to park my car in his garden and camp so that he could take me to work in the morning and I could have a shower. So I drove there slowly in my car so as not to cause any more damage. Another handy fact is that his brother is a car mechanic and has a garage. He will be helping me over the next week. When I arrived at his house, I naturally also met his wife and children, who are also very nice.
