    Flughafen Doha

    Ich hatte soweit einen sehr entspannten Flug nach Doha. Hir in der wüste hatten wir sehr schlechte Sicht, weshalb ich aus dem Fenster leider nur die umrisse der Stadt gesehen habe.
    Der Flughafen selber ist wirklich groß und modern. Es gibt sogar eine elektrische Bahn.
    Ich habe mich etwas umgesehen und bin mit schöner Aussicht auf die Landebahn etwas essen gegangen.

    I had a very relaxed flight to Doha so far. Here in the desert we had very poor visibility, so unfortunately I could only see the outline of the city from the window.
    The airport itself is really big and modern. There is even an electric train.

    Melbourne Airport

    Deutsch:
    Nach meinem 14 Stunden Flug von Doha nach Melbourne muss ich sagen bin ich etwas k.o allerdings ist es mein Ziel bis zu meiner Ankunft um 23:50 in Darwin nicht zu schlafen um besser mit dem Zeitunterschied klar zu kommen. Der Flug an sich war relativ entspannt, da ich den Platz neben mir frei hatte.
    Jetzt warte ich auf meinen nächsten und zum Glück letzten Flug nach Darwin.

    After my 14-hour flight from Doha to Melbourne, I have to say I'm a bit knocked out, but my aim is not to sleep until I arrive in Darwin at 23:50 in order to cope better with the time difference. The flight itself was relatively relaxed as I had the seat next to me free.

    Guten morgen aus Darwin:)
    Ich bin gestern noch sehr gut angekommen!! Leider gab es in meinem Zimmer kein Wasser und keinen Erkan Schlüsse das war etwas unpraktisch da mir abgeraten wurde aus Wasserhähnen zu trinken…. Deswegen muss ich mir jetzt erstmal etwas Wasser besorgen!
    Heute Morgen wurde ich von exotischem Vogelgezwitscher geweckt. Angehängt findet ihr Bilder von ein oder zwei der Vögel und von einer seltsamen Ameisen Art die Blättern ähneln. Mein Plan jetzt ist es erstmal einkaufen zu gehen und mir eine sim Karte zu besorgen danach werde ich mich nochmal melden:)

    I arrived very well yesterday!!! Unfortunately, there was no water in my room and no Erkan keys which was a bit inconvenient as I was advised not to drink from taps.... That's why I have to get some water now!
    This morning I was woken up by exotic birdsong. Attached you will find pictures of one or two of the birds and of a strange ant species that resembles leaves. My plan now is to go shopping and get a sim card and then I'll get back to you :)    Read more

    Darwin pier

    Heute war ein unglaublicher Tag!
    Ich durfte so viele neue Leute kennenlernen und so viel erleben wie sonst gefühlt in einem Jahr!
    Als erstes wurde ich von exotischen vögeln geweckt😅 ich habe noch nie so viele Vogel gesehen die ich nicht kenne aber ich würde behaupten dass das ein Zeichen dafür ist wie wir ich weg bin😅
    Ich habe meine Sachen geregelt wie eine sim Karte besorgen und einkaufen danach war ich angeln.
    Leider hat am Tag nichts gebissen.
    Am Abend bin ich wieder auf eine Brücke in der Nähe an der sehr viele Angler waren auch hai Angler!!!!
    Ich habe mich schnell mit den Ben beiden Hai Anglern angefreundet.
    Und ob man es glaubt oder nicht wir hatten einen Biss!!
    Ich hätte den Hai landen dürfen aber 30cm vor meiner Hand gab er noch einmal alles und die Schnur ist gerissen😫
    Ich hätte den Fisch an Land ziehen dürfen😅
    Trotzdem habe ich heute meinen ersten Hai gesehen das war ein unglaubliches Erlebnis!
    Leider hatte ich mich dafür entschieden gleich die Treppen runter zu laufen bevor ich ein Bild mache aber so ist es jetzt eben.
    Mal sehen was noch kommt🥰

    Today was an incredible day!
    I got to meet so many new people and experience as much as I usually do in a year!
    First I was woken up by exotic birds😅 I've never seen so many birds I don't know but I'd say that's a sign of how I've been away😅
    I got my stuff sorted like getting a sim card and shopping then went fishing.
    Unfortunately nothing bit during the day.
    In the evening I went back to a bridge nearby where there were lots of anglers, including shark anglers!!!!
    I quickly made friends with the two shark anglers.
    And believe it or not we had a bite!
    I should have landed the shark but 30cm from my hand he gave it his all again and the line broke😫
    I should have landed the fish😅
    Nevertheless, I saw my first shark today - it was an incredible experience!
    Unfortunately I decided to run down the stairs before taking a picture but that's the way it is now.

    Reise zur Gastfamilie

    Deutsch:
    So heute ist ein sehr spannender Tag ich mache mich auf den Weg zu meiner Gastfamilie. Mein Morgen war dafür etwas wild, ich habe erstmal dick verschlafen😅 ich hatte demnach noch 30 min aus meinem Zimmer zu kommen also alles einzupacken und mich fertigzumachen. Zum Glück habe ich alles soweit geschafft und bin jetzt an der Bushaltestelle und warte auf den 2. Bus. Die Busfahrer hier in Australien fahren wahnsinnig schnell und unvorsichtig aber dafür sind die Fahrten kostenlos was für Backpacker natürlich super ist😁

    So today is a very exciting day and I'm on my way to my host family. My morning was a bit wild, I overslept a lot😅 so I still had 30 minutes to get out of my room, pack everything and get ready. Luckily I managed to get everything ready and am now at the bus stop waiting for the second bus.     Gastfamile (darwin)

    Ich bin in meiner Familie angekommen und es ist einfach perfekt besser könnte es wirklich nicht sein!
    Wo soll ich anfangen.
    Er ist ein Offizier im Gefängnis aus dem Bilderbuch was an sich schon richtig spannend ist.
    dann hat er ein kleines gym in der Garage das ist natürlich Mega! Er hat ein Boot, wir haben schon ein Angel Trip geplanten mein Zimmer ist natürlich auch Mega schön:)
    Sie ist auch Mega Mega nett hat total viele leckere Sachen gekauft und mich gefragt was ich so gerne esse. Es wird sich wirklich rührend gekümmert ich könnte es mir nicht besser vorstellen:)
    Der Sohn zockt sehr viel was auch wirklich cool ist. Es gibt hier auch eine Katze die allerdings leider sehr scheu ist sie schnuppert an de Hand lässt sich aber leider nicht streicheln ich habe aber einen Monat Zeit um ihr Vertrauen zu gewinnen😌
    Heute haben wir einigen Freunden gegrillt gegrillt. Die Runde war wirklich nett euch haben uns viel unterhalten und ich muss sagen ich kenne niemanden diese so gut grillt wie Kyle😅 das war unglaublich lecker!
    Und wenn ihr denkt ihr habt schon einmal einen schönen Sonnenuntergang gesehen dann wart ihr noch nie in Australien im northern theritory das ist eine ganz andere Liga!!!!! Auch die ganzen Freunde sind Mega nett wir waren eine Runde von ca 10 Leuten es gab essen Bier und Whisky (den besten den ich jemals getrunken habe)
    Ich bin gespannt was die nächste Zeit bringt
    Kleiner funfact wir haben Rodeo geguckt das ist spannender als man denkt wenn man die Regeln dahinter kennt😅

    I've arrived in my family and it's just perfect it really couldn't be better!
    Where should I start?
    He's an officer in prison from a picture book, which is really exciting in itself.
    Then he has a little gym in the garage which is of course mega! He has a boat, we have already planned a fishing trip and my room is of course also mega nice :)
    She is also mega mega nice, bought lots of delicious things and asked me what I like to eat. She really takes good care of me and I couldn't imagine it any better :)
    The son plays a lot of games, which is really cool. There is also a cat here which is unfortunately very shy, it sniffs at my hand but unfortunately won't let me stroke it, but I have a month to gain its trust😌
    Today we had a barbecue with some friends. The group was really nice, we talked a lot and I have to say I don't know anyone who barbecues as well as Kyle😅
    that was incredibly delicious!
    And if you think you've ever seen a beautiful sunset then you've never been to northern theritory in Australia - that's a whole different league!!!!! Also all the friends are mega nice we were a group of about 10 people there was food beer and whisky (the best I have ever drunk)
    I am curious what the next time will bring

    Entspannter Sonntag

    Deutsch:
    Heute hatte ich etwas länger geschlafen da wie gestern relativ spät im Bett waren. Hier in Australien ist heute Vatertag deswegen hatten wir ein besondereres Frühstück, es gab Früstücksboritos. Die waren Mega! Vorher habe ich aber noch etwas Morgensport im Garagen gym gemacht:)
    Währenddessen haben wir Frauenfußball geguckt (Australien gegen Columbia) und wurden von einer Gottesanbeterin besucht:)
    Gegen Mittag bin ich mit dem Fahrrad zum Angeln gefahren das war zwar eine Mega schöne Runde aber bei der Hitze werde ich das allerdings nicht mehr macht😅
    Leider hat sich an der Angel nicht besonders viel getan also bin ich auch schon nach ca 2h wider Nachhauseweg gefahren. Den restlichen Tag haben wir im Garten und am Pool verbracht, bei der Gelegenheit habe ich auch gleich ein paar Bilder von diversen vögeln gemacht dieses Mal allerdings mit meiner richtigen Kamera.
    Zum Abendessen hatten einen Pulltmeet Burger und eine kolumbianische Spezialität (Pancakes aus Mais mit Butter und Käse)
    Mein Plan ist es heute etwas früher schlafen zu gehen um morgen fit für den ersten Schultag zu sein.

    I slept a little longer today as we were in bed relatively late yesterday. It's Father's Day here in Australia so we had a special breakfast - breakfast boritos. They were realy good!
    Vorher habe ich aber noch etwas Morgensport im Garagen gym gemacht:)
    In the meantime we watched women's soccer (Australia vs Columbia) and were visited by a praying mantis :)
    At lunchtime I went fishing on my bike, which was a really nice trip, but I won't be doing it again in this heat😅
    Unfortunately there wasn't much action on the fishing rod so I went home again after about 2 hours. We spent the rest of the day in the garden and by the pool, and I took the opportunity to take a few pictures of various birds, but this time with my real camera.
    For dinner we had a Pulltmeet burger and a Colombian specialty (pancakes made from corn with butter and cheese)
    My plan is to go to bed a little earlier tonight to be fit for the first day of school tomorrow.    Read more

    Heute ist mein erster Schultag. Ich muss sagen bisher ist der erste Tag wirklich gut gelaufen wenn das so weiter geht wäre es wirklich perfekt.
    Ich habe mir in der Pause ein schönes Plätzchen für mein Frühstück gesucht ca 10 min weg von meiner Schule.

    Darwin beach

    Deutsch
    Heute hatte ich meinen ersten Schultag. Ich muss sagen, dass das Level anspruchsvoll ist, aber unsere Lehrerin bringt den Stoff gut rüber daher ist es recht gut machbar:) um 12:15 hatten wir aus und ich hatte das Ziel mir Darwin anzuschauen. Mein erster stopp war der Strand und ein kleiner Jungelabschnitt in dem ich einen eulenartigen Vogel beobachtet habe:) Ich bin zufällig an einem Krokodilepark in der Stadt vorbei gekommen und konnte aus dem Souvenirladen ein Krokodil sehen😁 Ansonsten lässt sich über Darwin nicht besonders viel erzählen, alles ist relativ teuer selbst für australische Verhältnisse und auch die Läden sind nicht besonders spannend. Viel beeindruckender ist das Stadtbild Ansicht und die Natur darum. Als Letztes habe ich noch einen kleinen Abschnitt an den Strand von Darwin gemacht( der einzige Platz an dem gebadet werden kann da es hier einen Schutz vor Krokodilen gibt.

    Today was my first day at school. I have to say that the level is challenging, but our teacher gets the material across well so it's quite doable:) We finished at 12:15 and I had the goal of seeing Darwin. My first stop was the beach and a small section of jungle where I spotted an owl-like bird:) apart from that there's not much to say about Darwin, everything is relatively expensive even by Australian standards and the stores aren't particularly exciting either. Much more impressive is the cityscape view and the nature around it. The last thing I did was a short trip to Darwin beach (the only place where you can swim as there is protection from crocodiles).    Read more

    Nochmal ein kleiner Nachtrag wie der Rest des Tages gelaufen ist :
    Ich bin nachdem ich am Strand war ca 1h mit dem Bus nachhause gefahren. Im Bus haben sich ein paar Aborigines gestritten und sind daraufhin von der Polizei nach draußen begleitet worden😅 zuhause angekommen musste ich macht erstmal etwas von der Hitze und dem vielen laufen erholen… Ich muss wirklich sagen alles was man hier macht ist doppelt so anstrengend wie in Deutschland😅 ich weiß nicht ob das wirklich nur an der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit liegt oder auch an dem Ozonloch über Australien aber die Sonne fühlt sich hier generell irgendwie stärker an als an anderen Orten.
    Lina hat heute asiatisch gekocht ich muss das Essen auch heute wider absolut loben 😁
    Als es dunkel geworden ist saß ich mit Kyle noch eine Weile auf der Terrasse, wir haben nach Autos gesucht und uns verschiedene Umbau beziehungsweise Upgrade Möglichkeiten überlegt die für mein Vorhaben nach Sidney und vor allem Kap York zu fahren absolut notwendig sind.
    Ich bin gespannt wie es morgen weitergeht und jetzt geht es erstmal ins Bett.

    A little update on how the rest of the day went:
    After I was at the beach, I took the bus home for about an hour. A few Aborigines got into an argument on the bus and were then escorted out by the police😅 When I got home I first had to recover from the heat and all the walking... I really have to say everything you do here is twice as strenuous as in Germany😅 I don't know if it's just because of the high humidity or because of the hole in the ozone layer over Australia, but the sun generally feels stronger here than in other places.
    Lina cooked Asian food today and I have to praise the food again today 😁
    When it got dark, I sat on the terrace with Kyle for a while, we looked for cars and thought about various conversion or upgrade options that were absolutely necessary for my plan to drive to Sidney and especially Cape York.

    Deutsch:
    Heute ist ausnahmsweise nicht so viele passiert wie die anderen Tage. Auf dem Weg zur Schule ist mir schon aufgefallen, dass die Luftfeuchtigkeit langsam steigt. Das liegt daran, dass Anfang November hier im Top End die Regenzeit beginnt. Davor wird es noch heißer als es sowieso schon ist (40C) und die Luftfeuchtigkeit steigt bis zu 95%…. Einen kleinen Vorgeschmack bekommt man jetzt, schon wenn man die kleineren Dschungelabschnitte neben Darwin besucht, ich kann euch sagen alles läuft😅 Aber ich meine die Hitze ist der Grund warum ich hier nach Darwin gereist bin. Als ich an der Schule angekommen bin stand neben dem Eingang wie ein Wächter eine für mich unbekannte Vogelart, was hir in Australien tatsächlich normal ist, da ich keinen der hier lebenden Vögel jemals gesehen habe😅. Der Schultag war soweit gut, meine Klasse ist wirklich nett und die Tage sind eigentlich immer recht lustig. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass ich den Jetlag noch etwas merke.. während der Schulzeit habe ich immer ca 1h einen kleinen Durchhänger nicht wirklich schlimm aber ich merke einfach, dass es in Deutschland gerade mitten in der Nacht ist. Trotzdem ist der Jetlag deutlich einfacher zu handeln als ich gedacht habe. mein restlicher Tag bestand daraus Darwin fertig zu erkunden und ein bisschen zu angel. Heute habe ich mir den Hafenbereich und die Docks genauer angesehen. Das Wasser ist überall so schön blau und Türkis aber wegen der Krokodile kann oder geht hier niemand ins Wasser. Zu Hause habe ich etwas entspannt und Recherchen bezüglich meiner Weiterreise und Jobs angestellt und mich natürlich auch etwas entspannt😁 Zum Abendessen gab es eine hervorragend schmeckende Bolognese. Nach dem Essen habe ich noch kurz meine Wäsche gewaschen und mich langsam bettfertig gemacht.

    For once, not as much happened today as the other days. On the way to school, I noticed that the humidity was slowly rising. This is because the rainy season starts here in the Top End at the beginning of November. Before that, it gets even hotter than it already is (40C) and the humidity rises to 95%.... You can get a little taste of it now, just by visiting the smaller jungle sections next to Darwin, I can tell you everything is going😅 But I mean the heat is the reason I traveled here to Darwin. When I arrived at the school there was a bird species next to the entrance like a guardian, which is actually normal here in Australia as I have never seen any of the birds that live here😅. The school day was good so far, my class is really nice and the days are actually always quite fun. However, I have to say that I still notice the jet lag a bit... during school time I always have a little sag for about 1 hour - not really bad, but I just realize that it's the middle of the night in Germany. Nevertheless, jet lag is much easier to deal with than I thought. The rest of my day consisted of finishing exploring Darwin and doing a bit of fishing. Today I took a closer look at the harbor area and the docks. The water is so beautiful blue and turquoise everywhere, but nobody can or goes into the water here because of the crocodiles. At home I relaxed a bit and did some research regarding my onward journey and jobs and of course relaxed a bit too😁 I had a delicious Bolognese for dinner. After dinner, I did a quick wash and slowly got ready for bed.    Read more

    Commonwealth Bank

    Deutsch:
    Heute Vormittag war es relativ bewölkt das war tatsächlich relativ angenehm es war aber natürlich trotzdem ziemlich heiß😅 Der Schultag war heute etwas chaotisch, weil unsere Lehrerin für einen Kollegen einspringen musste und unsere Klasse deswegen mit einer anderen fusioniert wurde. Das war aber eigentlich kein Problem. Nach der Schule bin ich mal wieder ein bisschen durch die Stadt gelaufen und habe einen Campingladen gefunden, das war natürlich das absolute Paradies😅
    Gerade sitze ich im Wartebereich der Commonwealth Bank, um mir ein Konto zu eröffnen. Danach habe ich vor noch ins gym zu gehen und danach geht es nachhause ich muss meine Weiterreise planen und vorbereiten:) freut euch auf Mega Content sobald es losgeht🙂.

    It was relatively cloudy this morning, which was actually quite pleasant, but of course it was still pretty hot😅 The school day was a bit chaotic today because our teacher had to stand in for a colleague and our class was therefore merged with another one. But that wasn't really a problem. I'm currently sitting in the Commonwealth Bank's security area to open an account. After that I plan to go to the gym and then I'm going home.     Schöner erster Freitag

    Deutsch:
    So heute war ein sehr toller Tag. Ich bin aufgestanden mit dem Sonnenaufgang wie jeden Morgen. Hab meinen Kaffee getrunken und mich auf den Weg zur Schule gemacht. Der Schultag war wie gewohnt ein guter Tag. Heute bin ich nicht mehr nach Darwin gegangen, sondern bin direkt nach Hause gefahren. Zu Hause angekommen habe ich erst mal ein bisschen entspannt und danach habe ich Sport gemacht , ich war ein bisschen im Gym in der Garage und danach noch joggen. Zur Abkühlung habe ich mich dann eine Runde in den Pool geworfen als ich fertig war. Kannst du perfekten Zeit die Pizza, auch wenn das natürlich nicht zu meinem Sport passt. Nach dem Abendessen habe ich etwas nach Flügen nach Tasmanien geguckt. Ich bin auch fündig geworden, bin mir aber noch nicht ganz sicher mit den Daten. Den restlichen Abend habe ich mit der Familie an der Switch gespielt Mario Party und Mario Kart. dabei konnte ich sogar beobachten, wie ein Gecko eine Fliege gefangen hat. Aber die beste Tierstory ist passiert, nachdem alle andern im Bett waren. Ich bin rausgegangen zum Zähneputzen und hab in einer Palme nebenan ein Geräusch gehört. Ich bin natürlich hingelaufen und habe die Taschenlampe angemacht. In dem Moment startet ein riesiger Flug rund und fliegt über meinen Kopf. Ich hab noch nie einen Flughund gesehen und das war ein Wahnsinnserlebnis natürlich.

    So today was a really great day. I got up with the sunrise like every morning. I drank my coffee and made my way to school. The school day was a good day as usual. I didn't go to Darwin today, but drove straight home. When I got home, I relaxed a bit and then did some sport, I went to the gym in the garage and then went jogging. To cool off, I took a dip in the pool when I was finished. You can perfectly time the pizza, even if it doesn't go with my sport. After dinner, I looked for flights to Tasmania. I found one, but I'm not quite sure of the dates yet. I spent the rest of the evening playing Mario Party and Mario Kart on the Switch with the family. I even saw a gecko catch a fly. But the best animal story happened after everyone else had gone to bed. I went out to brush my teeth and heard a noise in a palm tree next door. Of course I ran over and switched on the flashlight. At that moment, a huge flying fox took off and flew over my head. I've never seen a flying fox before and of course it was an amazing experience.    Read more

    Heute Morgen haben wir uns als erstes um die Gefangene Spinne gekümmert. Ich hab die Schale hochgehoben und Kyle hat mit dem Insektenspray draufgehalten. Wie es natürlich sein musste ist die Spinne unter einem Türschlitz in den Waschraum geflüchtet… wir haben sie dann einfach ausgeräuchert. Er konnte mir aber gleich sagen, dass das keine rötliche Spinne ist, also hatte ich auch keine Angst mehr und ich habe angefangen sie zu suchen. Letztendlich lag sie dann tot neben der Waschmaschine und ich konnte ein paar Fotos machen :)
    Danach sind wir ins Outback gefahren zu einer kleinen Großstrecke damit der Sohn dort mit seinem dirt bike fahren kann. Ich bin währenddessen durch die angrenzenden Wälder gelaufen und habe ein paar Bilder am Flugplatz gemacht. Im Anschluss sind wir einige Sachen für mein Auto kaufen gegangen wie Kühlflüssigkeit Öl etc.
    Zuhause angekommen haben wir erstmal die heißeste Zeit also den Mittag vorbeigehen lassen und haben uns erst danach um mein und sein Auto gekümmert:)
    Als wir fertig waren haben wir wie es sich gehört angestoßen und haben uns fertig gemacht, weil wir essen gegangen sind und gleichzeitig den Sonnenuntergang beobachten wollte.

    Kleiner fun fact sein Wagen hat hinten einen kleinen cd Spieler an dem eine alte Spielekonsole angeschlossen ist😂
    Am Abend hatten wir noch einen Flughund in den Palmen im Garten und das war dann auch der Tag🥰 ich habe wie eigentlich immer relativ viel erlebt und freue mich auf morgen:)

    First thing this morning we took care of the trapped spider. I lifted the shell and Kyle held the insect spray on it. As it was bound to happen, the spider escaped under a door slot into the laundry room... we just smoked it out. But he was able to tell me straight away that it wasn't a reddish spider, so I wasn't scared any more and started looking for it. In the end, it was lying dead next to the washing machine and I was able to take a few photos :)
    Afterwards we drove to the outback to a small track so that my son could ride his dirt bike there. Meanwhile, I walked through the neighboring woods and took a few pictures at the airfield. Afterwards we went to buy some things for my car like coolant, oil etc.
    When we got home, we let the hottest time, i.e. lunchtime, pass and only then did we take care of my car and his:)
    When we were finished we had a toast and got ready because we wanted to go out for dinner and watch the sunset at the same time.

    Neuses Auto

    Deutsch:
    Gestern war ein toller Tag ! Leider hatte ich keine Zeit einen Eintrag zu verfassen, dafür kommt er jetzt🥰
    Also wir sind relativ früh aufgestanden da ich vorhatte mit branden dem besten Freund von Kyle nach Autos gucken zu gehen.
    Als Erstes haben wir einen weißen Petroleum angeguckt. Ein wirklich unverschämtes Auto aber leider hätten wir zu viel machen müssen… Der zweite war ein Mitsubishi pick up, ich habe mich direkt in den Wagen verliebt und naja was soll ich sagen das ist mein erster pick up 👀
    Als wir wieder zurück waren habe ich das Auto erstmal ausgiebig inspiziert wir haben darauf angestoßen und das bbq fertig gemacht. Es gab Sauerkraut Würstchen und Kartoffelsalat 🥰
    Die Katze, die am Anfang sehr scheu war, mag mich jetzt kommt um gestreichelt zu werden und schläft in meinem Bett😂
    Der krönende Abschluss des Tages ist passiert, nachdem alle anderen schon im Bett waren. Ich gehe zur Balkontür rein und sehe 30cm neben meinem Fuß eine wirklich fette Spinne…. Das war abgefahren, ich habe sie dann tatsächlich gefangen. Guckt euch unbedingt das Video dazu an!!!!
    Ich freue mich schon was der nächste Tag bringt wir haben viel geplant.

    Yesterday was a great day! Unfortunately I didn't have time to write an entry, but here it is now🥰
    So we got up relatively early as I was planning to go looking for cars with branden, Kyle's best friend.
    The first car we looked at was a white Petroleum. A really outrageous car but unfortunately we would have had to do too much... The second was a Mitsubishi pick up, I fell in love with the car straight away and well, what can I say, it's my first pick up 👀
    When we got back, I inspected the car thoroughly and we toasted to it and got the bbq ready. We had sauerkraut sausages and potato salad 🥰
    The cat, who was very shy at first, now likes me, comes to be stroked and sleeps in my bed😂
    The crowning glory of the day happened after everyone else had gone to bed. I go in the balcony door and see a really fat spider 30cm from my foot.... That was awesome, I actually caught it. Make sure you watch the video!!!!

    Erster Hai

    Deutsch:
    Mein Tag heute hatte recht normal gestartet:) ich bin aufgestanden habe meinen Kaffee getrunken und bin zur Schule gegangen. Nach der Schule war ich wie gewohnt ein bisschen in der Stadt unterwegs und bin dann nachhause gefahren. Auf dem Weg habe ich einen wunderschönen leider toten Schmetterling gefunden (Bild anhängend). Zuhause angekommen habe ich mir erstmal Rührei und ein Warp gemacht.
    Mein Warp Rezept:
    1. Ich nehme zwei kleine Warp Scheiben und packe ein bisschen Burgersoße drauf (nicht viel)
    2. im nächsten Schritt werden Zwiebeln frische Gurke Pilze und Speck geschnitten und zusammen mit Käse auf das Warp gelegt.
    3. Jetzt muss die zweite Scheibe wie ein Deckel aufgelegt werden und beides zusammen kommt in den Sandwichmaker.
    4. Dann müsst ihr nur noch warten, dass die Außenseite knusprig wird, dann habt ihr die perfekte Konsistenz😁
    Nach meinem Mittagessen hab ich mich eine halbe Stunde auf die Terrasse gelegt und geschlafen und hab im Anschluss meine Angeln für den anstehenden Angeltipp fertig gemacht.
    Kyle hat mich netterweise an meinem Spott rausgeworfen und ich konnte 2,5angeln. Ich hatte leider nur ein paar probende aber ein Kollege neben mir hat doch tatsächlich einen kleinen Hai gefangen. Ich wollte ihn anlanden holen was wirklich leichter gesagt als getan ist.
    Man muss den Hai am Schwanz und nacken packen am besten gleichzeitig da er, wenn man ihn nur am Schwanz nimmt um sich schnappt. Und glaubt mir, auch wenn der klein war, ist das ein wirklich starkes Tier! Ich bin wirklich auf die größeren gespannt 😋
    Wider zuhause angekommen gab es noch reiß mit Tunfischsalat und dann ging es ins Bett.

    My day started quite normally today :) I got up, drank my coffee and went to school. After school I walked around town as usual and then drove home. On the way I found a beautiful unfortunately dead butterfly (picture attached). When I got home, I made myself some scrambled eggs and a warp.
    My warp recipe:
    1. I take two small warp slices and put a bit of burger sauce on them (not much)
    2. in the next step, onions, fresh cucumber, mushrooms and bacon are cut and placed on the warp together with cheese.
    3. now the second slice has to be placed on top like a lid and both together go into the sandwich maker.
    4. then you just have to wait for the outside to get crispy, then you have the perfect consistency😁
    After my lunch, I lay down on the terrace and slept for half an hour and then got my rods ready for the upcoming fishing trip.
    Kyle kindly kicked me out on my mock and I was able to fish 2.5. Unfortunately, I only had a couple of rehearsals but a colleague next to me actually caught a small shark. I wanted to land it, which is really easier said than done.
    You have to grab the shark by the tail and neck, preferably at the same time, because if you only grab it by the tail it will snap around. And believe me, even if it was small, it's a really strong animal! I'm really looking forward to the bigger ones 😋
    Back at home, we had a bite of tuna salad and then went to bed.    Read more

    Lazy day

    Deutsch:
    Heute war ein sehr sehr entspannter Tag! Wie gewohnt war ich in der Schule wir hatten einen Test (ist ganz gut ausgefallen) heute bin ich allerdings direkt Nachhauseweg gefahren ohne in die Stadt zu gehen. Zuhause angekommen habe ich mir endlich etwas zumessen gemacht, dann kam auch schon Kyle nachhause. Wir haben uns ein Stündchen ausgeruht und sind einkaufen gefahren. Zuhause angekommen haben wir das Abendessen vorbereitet, Countrymusic gehört und uns unterhalten :) das haben wir den Rest des Abends fortgeführt und ich habe noch eine kleine Runde Sport eingeschoben :)
    Ich glaube ich habe schoneinmal beschrieben, dass die Sonnenuntergänge hier unglaublich schön sind! Heute war mal wieder einer mit lila orange rot und gelb, leider kommt das auf den Bildern nicht so ganz rüber wie es wirklich aussieht.
    Der Plan für morgen ist eine Handangel aus einem Stück Holz und Angelschnur zu bauen. Außerdem wollen Kyle und ich anfangen wie in Deutschland jeden Tag Sport zu machen ich werde euch auf dem laufenden halte ob wir das durchziehen:)

    Today was a very relaxed day! I went to school as usual, we had a test (which turned out quite well) but today I drove straight home without going into town. When I got home I finally made myself something to eat, then Kyle came home. We rested for an hour and went shopping. When we got home we prepared dinner, listened to country music and talked :) We continued this for the rest of the evening and I did a little exercise :)
    I think I've described before that the sunsets here are incredibly beautiful! Today was another one with purple, orange, red and yellow, unfortunately the pictures don't quite show what it really looks like.
    The plan for tomorrow is to build a hand fishing rod from a piece of wood and fishing line. Kyle and I also want to start doing sports every day like we do in Germany - I'll keep you posted on whether we pull it off :)    Read more

    Cleaning day

    Deutsch:
    Heute stand nach der Schule wieder der merkwürdige große Vogel neben dem Eingang😅 (Bild anhängend). Ich habe mich nach der Schule auf den Weg gemacht, um einige Sachen zu erledigen.
    1. musste ich zur Bank um ein paar Sachen zu regeln.
    2. Musste ich in den Angelladen, um ein paar Sachen zu erfragen.
    3. Habe ich mich über Facebook mit jemandem verabredet der mir billig Angelschnüre verkauft hat. Dafür musste ich 35min hin und 35min zurücklaufen was bei der Hitze wirklich anstrengend ist😅
    4. Ich habe das Haus gesaugt und meine Wäsche gemacht.
    5. Ich habe mein Auto von innen geputzt (das war dringend nötig)😂
    Als das alles erledigt war haben Kyle und ich unsere Sport-Session gemacht und waren pünktlich zum Abendessen fertig😁.

    2. had to go to the fishing store to ask for a few things.

    Deutsch:
    Heute habe ich mir eine neue Angelrute gekauft eine recht starke für größere Fische wie zum Beispiel Haie. Nachdem ich die Route gekauft habe, habe ich mich etwas an den Rand vom Dschungel gesetzt, am Meer und ein bisschen die Aussicht genossen. Dann bin ich wieder nach Hause gefahren und hab mein Auto fertig geputzt. Als ich damit fertig war, habe ich natürlich meine Angel ausgerüstet Schnur drauf gemacht Haken und alles was eben so gemacht werden muss. Als ich auch damit fertig war haben Kyle und ich unsere tägliche Sporteinheit durchgezogen und dann gab’s auch schon Abendessen Hühnchen mit Reis. Im Anschluss haben wir uns auf die Terrasse gesetzt, der Nachbar kam rüber und wir haben uns eine Weile unterhalten. Es war wirklich ein sehr schöner und entspannter Tag. Morgen gehe ich nach der Schule Mittagessen mit einem Freund aus der Schule. Er möchte mich gerne interviewen, da er auf seiner Reise für seine Schüler, er ist Lehrer in Japan Leute interviewen möchte, um ihn zu erzählen, was er so auf seiner Reise erlebt. Dementsprechend freue ich mich auf den morgigen Tag, da ich nach Möglichkeit auch noch Angeln möchte.

    Today I bought a new fishing rod, a fairly strong one for bigger fish such as sharks. After I bought the rod, I sat down on the edge of the jungle by the sea and enjoyed the view for a while. Then I drove back home and finished cleaning my car. When I'd finished, I of course rigged my fishing line, hooks and everything else that needed doing. When I'd finished that too, Kyle and I did our daily sports session and then we had chicken and rice for dinner. Afterwards we sat down on the terrace, the neighbor came over and we talked for a while. It was a really nice and relaxed day. Tomorrow I'm having lunch after school with a friend from school. He would like to interview me as he wants to interview people on his trip for his students, he is a teacher in Japan, to tell him what he experiences on his trip.     Letzter Tag mit 22

    Deutsch:
    Heute hatte ich einen wirklich spannenden Tag. In der Mittagspause bin ich zum Angelladen und habe mir Schnur auf meine neue Rolle ziehen lassen. Nach der Schule habe ich mich mit einem Klassenkameraden getroffen da er gerne ein Interview mit mir führen wollte. So wie ich hier meinen Blog führe macht er Interviews mit Leuten, die er auf seiner Reise trifft, um zu Hause in Japan seinen Schülern etwas erzählen zu können.
    Das Interview hat wirklich Spaß gemacht und wir haben viel über den anderen und die andere Kultur erfahren:)
    Danach bin ich wieder nachhause gefahren und habe erstmal Kaffee getrunken damit ich genügend Energie für die anschließende Sporteinheit zu haben. Außerdem ist mein Plan bis 12Uhr wach zu bleiben ich bin mir aber absolut nicht sicher, ob ich das schaffe😅 Die Tage hier sind so heiß und es wird so früh dunkel, dass ich wirklich verhältnismäßig sehr früh müde werde. Das ist Ansichtssache auch kein Problem da ich mir vorgenommen habe immer um 22:30Uhr ins Bett zu gehen und um 6 aufzustehen um die Tage voll auszunutzen, bisher hat das auch super funktioniert (auch am Wochenende).
    Nach meiner Sporteinheit diese ich heute alleine durchgezogen habe gab es Leckeres von Kyle gekochtes Abendessen (Garnelen in weiser Soße mit Bandnudeln).
    Im Anschluss haben wir uns langsam fertig gemacht da Kyle und ich in eine Cocktailparty gehen wollten, um mein Geburtstagswochenende einzuleiten.

    I had a really exciting day today. During the lunch break I went to the fishing store and had some line put on my new reel. After school I met up with a classmate because he wanted to do an interview with me. Just like I do my blog here, he does interviews with people he meets on his travels so he has something to tell his students back home in Japan.
    The interview was really fun and we learned a lot about each other and the other culture :)
    Afterwards I went back home and had a coffee so that I had enough energy for the sports session afterwards. My plan is also to stay awake until 12pm, but I'm not at all sure if I'll manage that😅 The days here are so hot and it gets dark so early that I get really tired relatively early. That's not a problem, though, as I always plan to go to bed at 10:30pm and get up at 6am to make the most of the days, which has worked really well so far (even at weekends).
    After my sports session, which I did on my own today, we had a delicious dinner cooked by Kyle (prawns in white sauce with tagliatelle).
    Afterwards we slowly got ready as Kyle and I were going to a cocktail party to kick off my birthday weekend.    Read more

    Geburtstag

    Deutsch:
    Heute hatte ich einen wahnsinnig spannenden Tag. Nach dem aufstehen habe ich wie gewohnt mein Obstsalat gegessen:). Danach hat Kyle für uns Rührei mit Bacon in Wraps gemacht und wir haben noch einen Kaffee getrunken. Danach hat mich Lina netter Weise bei einem Angel Spot rausgeworfen. Ich bin dann den Strand entlang gelaufen bis zu einem Mangrovensumpf und hab dort in einem Fluss geangelt. Ich hatte einen wahnsinnigen Biss von einem sehr wahrscheinlich Krokodil. Nach 10 Minuten Kampf ist leider Gottes die Schnur gerissen, ehrlicherweise bin ich aber auch relativ froh darüber, weil das krokodilderartig stark war, dass ich mit meiner Angel keine Chance hatte und ich nicht unbedingt rausfinden möchte ob es gut gelaunt aus dem Wasser gekommen wäre. Danach haben mir zwei Haie zwei von meinen ködern kaputt gebissen und wir haben leider keine baramundi fangen können. Ich werde aber nicht aufhören es zu probieren sie diene auch definitiv da!! Nach meinem kleinen Angeltrip gab es Abendessen Kyle war so lieb und hat baramundi für mich oder beziehungsweise uns gekocht (auch wenn er nicht selbstgefangen war hat es Mega geschmeckt!) Jetzt sitzen wir auf der Terrasse trinken ein bisschen Whisky und haben guten Abend.

    Endlich:
    I had an incredibly exciting day today. After getting up, I ate my fruit salad as usual and had a coffee. Then Kyle made us scrambled eggs with bacon in wraps and we had another coffee. After that, Lina kicked me out at the Angel Spot. I then walked along the beach to the mangrove and fished in a river there. I had an insane bite from what was probably a crocodile. Unfortunately, after 10 minutes of fighting, the line broke, but I'm relatively happy about that because the crocodile was so strong that I didn't stand a chance. It just pulled off the line and that's all that happened. It was far too strong. After that, two sharks broke two of my lures and unfortunately we weren't able to catch any baramundi. after my little fishing trip, some of us had dinner and cooked baramundi for me or for us. It was really delicious. Now we're sitting on the terrace drinking a bit of whisky and having a good evening.    Read more

    Deutsch:
    Heute hatten wir einen sehr ruhigen und entspannten Katertag der aus essen, schlafen und YouTube bestand. Wir hatten auch noch ein paar Sachen für mein Auto gekauft und einen kleinen Service gemacht. In der Abenddämmerung hatte ich noch das große Glück ein lyrebird zusehen=) Leider war es zu dunkel um gute Bilder zu machen (sie sind alle etwas verwackelt da sich das Tier bewegt hat). Nach dem Abendessen es gab meetpie=)
    Nach dem Abendessen saßen wir noch draußen zusammen und haben Karten gespielt.

    Arbeitsreicher Tag

    Deutsch:
    Gestern hatte ich einen sehr arbeitsreichen Tag. Nach der Schule bin ich in die Stadt da ich ein paar Sachen erledigen musste (unteranderem bin ich aktuell auf der Suche nach einer Drohne). Als ich wieder zu Hause angekommen bin, habe ich erstmal etwas gegessen und ein paar Sachen am pc erledigt wie nach einer Autoversicherung gesucht etc.
    im Anschluss hat mich Kyle an einer Behördenstelle rausgeworfen damit ich mein Auto zulassen kann. Das Problem ist, dass ich vorher meine Steuernummer brauche und da ich so lange in Australien bin hier eine Fahrerlaubnis erwerben muss😂 das muss ich in den nächsten zwei Wochen dann wohl auch noch machen 😅
    Danach bin ich zu einem Elektronikmarkt gefahren. Auf dem Rückweg konnte ich ein paar tolle Aufnahmen von Ameisen und einer Eidechse machen:)
    Zuhause angekommen habe ich noch etwas Sport gemacht und abendgegessen. Da der Tag anstrengend war, bin ich tatsächlich früh ins Bett.

    First rain

    Deutsch:
    Heute gibt’s wieder einiges zu erzählen.
    Wir hatten zum Beispiel den ersten Regen, so stark das ich in der Nacht aufgewacht bin. Nachdem ich den Schultag beendet habe, bin ich erst mal zur Bank gegangen, da ich einige Probleme mit bezahlen hatte. Die konnten wir Gott sei Dank aus dem Weg räumen und ich hab sogar noch meinen frühen Bus zurück nach Hause bekommen. Zu Hause angekommen habe ich Kyle und einen Arbeitskollegen getroffen, die beide heute freihaben und wir hatten ein zwei Drinks. Danach sind wir zu seinen Eltern gefahren und hatten zusammen Abend gegessen. Es war wie immer Mega lecker. Es gab Korn Beef mit Gemüse. Nach dem Essen saßen wir noch draußen und ich hab einen lauten Frosch gehört. Ich bin also losgezogen habe den wollte den Frosch fangen, der angeblich grün wär. Ich hab allerdings einen grün braunen Frosch gefunden, hat ihn gefangen und zurückgebracht und musste dann feststellen, dass der giftig ist. Danach hab ich mir recht lange die Hände gewaschen und hoffe, dass jetzt alles gut ist. Nachdem wir nach Hause gekommen sind, habe ich noch ein lautes Geräusch in einer Palme gehört. Ich bin hin und was soll ich sagen mal wieder ein Flughund. Ich konnte ein zwei Bilder machen, leider nur mit meiner Handykamera, da es nachts etwas ungeschickt mit meiner großen ist. Und während ich gerade hier den Blog Eintrag schreibe, ist noch mal einer vorbeigeflogen. Jetzt setze ich mich noch mal kurz auf die Terrasse und gehe dann ins Bett.

    There's a lot to tell again today. After I finished the school day, I went to the bank because I had some problems with paying. Thankfully we managed to sort them out and I even got my early bus back home. When I got home I met Kyle and a work colleague who both had the day off and we had two drinks. Afterwards we went to his parents' house and had dinner together. It was delicious as always. We had corn beef with vegetables. After dinner we were sitting outside and I heard a loud frog. So I went out to catch the frog, which was supposed to be green. However, I found a green-brown frog, caught it and brought it back, only to discover that it was poisonous. Afterwards I washed my hands for quite a long time and hoped that everything was fine now. After we got home, I heard a loud noise in a palm tree. I went and what can I say - another flying fox. I was able to take two pictures, unfortunately only with my cell phone camera as it's a bit awkward at night with my big one. And as I'm writing this blog entry, another one flew past.
