Auffangstation

Heute wollte ich mit einem Boot in einen naheliegenden Nationalpark fahren. Auf dem Hinweg bin ich noch Geld Wasser und Frühstück besorgen gegangen und als ich am Anleger angekommen bin musste ich feststellen, dass gerade keine Boote mehr verfügbar seien. Aus diesem Grund habe ich mich dazu entschieden die Tour auf den nächsten Tag zu verschieben. Als Alternativprogramm bin ich erst in die Stadt, bin über einen Basar gelaufen und in ein nahegelegenes Photogeschäft. Im Anschluss daran bin ich in eine Auffangstation für verletzte Wildtiere gefahren, angeblich werden die Tiere dort nur aufgepäppelte und im Anschluss daran wider freigelassen. Ich glaube das allerdings nicht, da die Affen wirklich sehr unglücklich aussahen und die Sun Bären die typischen Merkmale psychischer Erkrankungen zeigten die nach langer Zeit in Gefangenschaft bei Bären auftreten. Sie laufen immer im Kreis oder die immer gleiche Route durch ihren Käfig. Die Gehege waren sehr klein und schlecht eingerichtet, zumindest konnte ich gute Bilder machen, die die Situation im Park zeigen. Diese werde ich mit einer entsprechenden Bewertung auf ihrer Seite hochladen. Ich schäme mich mit dem bezahlten Eintritt diese Einrichtung unterstützt zu haben, auch wenn ich das im Vorhinein nicht wissen konnte. Die einzige Ausnahme waren die Orang-Utans, diese sahen nicht besonders unglücklich aus aber ich gehe davon aus, dass sie aufgrund von Auflagen wirklich wider ausgewildert werden müssen. Nach diesem eher bedrückenden Erlebnis bin ich nochmal zurück in das Photogeschäft um mir einen neuen Gurt für meine Kamera zu kaufen. In meinem Zimmer angekommen habe ich mir noch eine Doku angemacht und etwas zu Essen bestellt.

Today I wanted to take a boat to a nearby national park. On the way there I went to get some money, water and breakfast and when I arrived at the jetty I realized that there were no more boats available. For this reason, I decided to postpone the tour until the next day. As an alternative program, I first went into town, walked through a bazaar and went to a nearby photo store. Afterwards, I went to a rescue center for injured wild animals, where the animals are supposedly only nursed back to health and then released. I don't believe this, however, as the monkeys looked really unhappy and the Sun bears showed the typical signs of mental illness that occur in bears after a long time in captivity. They always walk in circles or the same route through their cage. The enclosures were very small and poorly set up, at least I was able to take good pictures showing the situation in the park. I will upload these to their website with a corresponding rating. I am ashamed to have supported this facility with my paid admission, even if I couldn't have known that in advance. The only exception were the orangutans, they didn't look particularly unhappy but I assume that they really do have to be released back into the wild due to regulations. After this rather depressing experience, I went back to the photo store to buy a new strap for my camera. When I got back to my room, I turned on a documentary and ordered something to eat.Læs mere
