Yesterday we drove seven hours in solid rain to get to Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. We are staying in Baddeck on the Bras d' Or Lake.

Today was a nicer day with the sun breaking out of the clouds. We drove up the east side of the Cabot Trail loop to Neil's Harbour. The views along the Atlantic side of the island were spectacular.

Today we drove to nearby Digby to see the port and eat their famed scallops. Yum! Dick was happy to also be able to watch the launching of Angela O, a large Digby scallop boat at the harbor. Afterwardもっと詳しく
旅行者 Today we were joking about being on the Chowder Trail since we have tried it in virtually every town. Come to find out that PEI actually has one! So far Blue Mussel Cafe wins out.
