Siem Reap - Day 1

Ieri, 13.2.2024, ho passato la giornato in bus da Bangkok alla città di Siem Reap, in Cambogia.

Stamattina alle 3.30 mi sono svegliata e preparata per andare a vedere l’alba al famoso tempio Angwor Wat, patrimonio dell Unesco.
È stata una bellissima esperienza vedere l’alba anche se è stata dura alzarsi cosi presto.
Dopo l’alba abbiamo vistato i templi Angwor Watt, Bayon e Ta Phrom, tutti e tre dei capolavori! Ta Phrom è famoso perchè è dove hanno girato delle scene di Tomb Raider.

A mezzogiorno eravamo di ritorno e io dopo un bagno in piscina sono andata a dormire un paio di ore.
Alla sera infatti mi aspettava un’appuntamento con Guya, una ragazza del Luganese che come me ha lasciato il lavoro per viaggiare nel sud-est asiatico.
È stata una serata molto carina😊

Yesterday, 2/13/2024, I spent the day on the bus from Bangkok to the city of Siem Reap, Cambodia.

This morning at 3.30 I woke up and got ready to go and see the sunrise at the famous Angwor Wat temple, a UNESCO heritage site.
It was a wonderful experience to see the sunrise even if it was hard to get up so early.
After sunrise we visited the Angwor Watt, Bayon and Ta Phrom temples, all three masterpieces! Ta Phrom is famous because it is where they filmed scenes from Tomb Raider.

At noon we were back and after a swim in the pool I went to sleep for a couple of hours.
In the evening, in fact, an appointment awaited me with Guya, a girl from Lugano who, like me, left her job to travel to South-East Asia.
