Siem Reap - Day 2

Quest’oggi ho noleggiato lo scooter e mi sono messa in viaggio verso dei templi un po’ più lontani.
Si tratta del Banteay Srei (il tempio delle donne), il Phnom Bok, il Pre Rup, il Ta Som, il Neak Poan e il Prasat Preah Khan.

Sono state delle visite bellissime, non so per quale motivo ma c’era veramente poca gente ed è stato uno spettacolo potersi godere questi templi, anche se faceva un caldo mortale.
Soprattutto un caldo mortale a salire i 630 gradini sotto il sole di mezzogiorno del tempio Phnom Bok (da 20 a 200m di altitudine)…però ne è valsa la pena! Si vedono dei resti del templio che sono stati avvolti da delle piante di frangipane che hanno dei fiori profumatissimi. È anche il posto dove si doce ci fosse la Lingam più grande (oltre i 20 metri, oggigiorno distrutto). La Lingam è un simbolo del dio Shiva.

È stato un giro bellissimo, che è terminato con un bel bagno in piscina dell’hostello per rinfrescarsi.

Today I rented the scooter and set off towards some temples a little further away.
These are the Banteay Srei (the women's temple), the Phnom Bok, the Pre Rup, the Ta Som, the Neak Poan and the Prasat Preah Khan.

They were wonderful visits, I don't know why but there were very few people and it was a spectacle to be able to enjoy these temples, even if it was deadly hot.
Above all, it was deadly hot to climb the 630 steps under the midday sun of the Phnom Bok temple (from 20 to 200m altitude)... but it was worth it! You can see the remains of the temple which have been surrounded by frangipani plants which have very fragrant flowers. It is also the place where the largest Lingam (over 20 meters, now destroyed) is believed to have been located. The Lingam is a symbol of the god Shiva.

It was a beautiful tour, which ended with a nice swim in the hostel pool to cool off.Lue lisää
