Battambang

Arrivata oggi a Battambang, una cittadella molto polverosa della Cambogia. Le strade sono spesso sterrate e con la stagione secca si forma tantissima polvere.
Battambang è famosa per il treno di bamboo e le caverne della morte, dove un tempo i Khmer Rouge uccidevano le loro vittime.
Inoltre molto famosa è la caverna dei pipistrelli, da dove all’imbrunire milioni di pipistrelli escono per cacciare la notte. Uno spettacolo bellissimo.

Questa città presenta anche una scuola d’arte e circo, che aiuta i giovani della regione ad andare a scuola e a formarli nei campi dell’arte. Ogni due giorni, alla sera, vengono fatte delle rappresentazioni circensi, molto carine da vedere. Sono solo ragazzini, ma si impegnano e si divertono tantissimo a presentare delle cose anche abbastanza pericolose.
Nel 2021 sono entrati nel Guinness dei primati per aver stabilito il record di rappresentazione circense di 24ore senza fermarsi.

A Battambang ho fatto anche una classe di cucina, dove ho imparato a cucinare alcuni piatti tipici del luogo! Era tutto buonissimo!

Arrived today in Battambang, a very dusty citadel in Cambodia. The roads are often unpaved and in the dry season a lot of dust forms.
Battambang is famous for the bamboo train and the killing caves, where the Khmer Rouge used to killed their victims.
Also very famous is the bat cave, from where at dusk millions of bats come out to hunt at night. A beautiful show.

This city also features an art and circus school, which helps young people in the region go to school and train them in the fields of art. Every two days, in the evening, circus performances are held, which are very nice to see. They are just kids, but they work hard and have a lot of fun presenting some quite dangerous things.
In 2021 they entered the Guinness Book of Records for having set the record for a 24-hour circus performance without stopping.

In Battambang I also took a cooking class, where I learned to cook some typical local dishes! It was all delicious!En savoir plus
