Delhi - Solo Sightseeing 2

Seconda giornata a Delhi - oggi me la sono presa più tranquillamente. Quando mi sono alzata ho passato un po’ di tempo con il proprietario del Tatvamasi Hotel a chiacchierare e bere chai.

Poi, dopo colazione, mi sono spostata verso l’hotel dove in tarda serata mi raggiungeranno gli altri partecipanti del tour con viaggi e avventure nel mondo.

Fatto il check-in mi sono incamminata per la parti più caotiche di Delhi.
Come prima tappa sono andata a vedere il Karol Bagh market, poi ho fatto un salto nel quartiere di Paharganj (conosciuto come il quartiere del backpackers) e infine ho preso la metro per Chandni Chowk, nella vecchia Delhi.
Chandni Chowk è un mercato enorme, caotico, con tantissima gente, bisogna fare attenzione a non venire investiti da bici, tuctuc e scooter che viaggiano nelle stradine strettissime, o anche ai furfanti che si aggirano di tanto in tanto.
Però l’atmosfera è bellissima, con tantissime cose che si possono comperare, soprattutto tante cose tipiche Indiane.
In zona c’è poi anche il Khari Baoli, ovvero il mercato delle spezie. È un mercato anche molto caotico, ma è bellissimo sentire tutto gli odori delle varie spezie.

Ora sono le 20.00 e vado a dormire che da domani sarà molto intenso :-)

Second day in Delhi - today I took it easier. When I woke up I spent some time with the owner of the Tatvamasi Hotel chatting and drinking chai.

Then, after breakfast, I moved to the hotel where in the late evening the other participants of the tour with travels and adventures around the world will join me.

Once I checked in I set off through the most chaotic parts of Delhi.
As a first stop I went to see the Karol Bagh market, then I popped into the Paharganj district (known as the backpackers' district) and finally I took the metro to Chandni Chowk, in old Delhi.
Chandni Chowk is a huge, chaotic market, with lots of people, you have to be careful not to get hit by bikes, tuctucs and scooters traveling in the very narrow streets, or even by the scoundrels who wander around from time to time.
But the atmosphere is beautiful, with lots of things you can buy, especially many typical Indian things.
In the area there is also the Khari Baoli, or the spice market. It is also a very chaotic market, but it is wonderful to smell all the smells of the various spices.

Now it's 8pm and I'm going to sleep which will be very intense from tomorrow :-)Читать далее
