Mostar Bosnia

Today we drive from Split to Dubrovnic but decided to take a detour into Bosnia and visit the remarkable town of Mostar. This city was divided Moslem against Christians each living on their own side of the river that runs through the city. The bridge was bombed in the war and totally destroyed but rebuilt by the goodwill of each towards the other as a physical commitment to a shared future. People flock to this symbol of hope daily as we did also. The city still bears many signs of its destruction with buildings bombed and still not rebuilt.Read more
