Rome

Sadly our amazing five weeks in Italy is at its end and we have returned to Rome for one final day before our flight home. What we didn't expect returning to Rome was how busy it was going to be. We are now fully out of "tourist" season and yet Rome is buzzing, flooded with tourist enjoying this historic city.

We chose to spend our last night staying near the Trevi Fountain, thinking it would be less crowded than when we arrived. We were wrong, very wrong. However, we did make the most of our last night in the country my heart calls home. We had our last Italian gelato, our last delicious Italian meal, and our last look and photo at the places we love.

This trip has been amazing, exploring new places and revisiting some of our favourites. It has been relaxing, awe inspiring, breath-taking, and so much more. Italy is where I feel most at home, where I can just breathe, where my heart is. Io amo l’Italia!Читать далее
