Traveling from Amsterdam to Montenegro

We woke up early and made our way to the airport four hours early, as Amsterdam’s airport is one of the worst for wait times. We actually got pretty lucky, and even though there were long lines we made it to our gate within two hours! We flew to Dubrovnik, Croatia and got our rental cars. That entailed standing in the parking lot for 45 minutes in the 95 degree heat. But the kids were troopers. We drove a beautiful drive for 2 1/2 hours that I clouded border patrol and the most beautiful ferry ride across the bay. We stopped for lunch in the beautiful old town of Herceg Novi. It was like something out of a storybook. We are at a restaurant overlooking the sea and the views were just stunning. We hit the road again and After stocking up on groceries, we arrived at our villa right after sunset. It was a fifteen minute drive up a windy mountain road with amazing views of the bay. The Villa is absolutely perfect for the 11 of us. It has a two level pool and some great porches. We met the cat that hangs out by the Villa and named him Monty The kids jumped right in the pool and played for a few hours before we all went to bed around midnight.
