Assembly Rooms and Thermae Spa

Excellent cooked breakfast in the Brunel Brasserie started us off well. We headed towards the Roman Baths where we had an excellent audio guide through this ancient Spa steeped in history. Then into the Abbey with fantastic fan vaulting and perpendicular windows, though the east end is closed for floor renovations. Lunch in the Assembly Rooms cafe followed by a visit to the Fashion Museum below.
We then headed back to get ready for our visit to Thermae Spa , timed to coincide with sunset in the rooftop pool. Before then we enjoyed the swirl on the ground floor pool abd hot steamy rooms on the second floor. A great experience.
We were booked for our inclusive dinner in Brunel Brasserie and enjoyed prawns and lamb, sea bass and crumble with a gorgeous half bottle of Fleurie.
