• Day 18 - Broken Hill/Silverton (Part 2)

    A further wander down the road was the Old Gaol Museum. This was amazing. So much history of local life since settlers arrived. Photos, documents, trinkets, memorabilia, household items and more. It was here we found out our very own Julie could have been a member of the Order of Rechabites.

    It was now lunchtime so general consensus was “the pub”. A few quietees and one of the best hamburgers I’ve ever had. I think Graham and Peter thought their steak burgers were pretty damn good as well.

    Finally, a short drive to the Mundi Mundi lookout. Advice suggested sunset was the best time for this. Although we were a little earlier than that, there was still some pretty exceptional views.

    We ended the day with wings and ribs (courtesy of myself and Peter) and an impromptu movie night outside Peter and Julie’s van showing the original Mad Max. Pretty sure number 2 (Mad Max that is) will be on the agenda very soon.
