Day 13 - Padrón to Santiago

We did it! We woke in the dark for our last stage of walking on the Camino, and watched the sun rise as we made our way up the many hills before Santiago de Compostela. I felt everything today - it’s been a wildly emotional journey these past 12 days and making the last walk was such a surreal feeling.

Overwhelmingly, I’m proud of the accomplishment of walking, this past year, my body… my body is amazing! Sure I’ve judged it for being the complete opposite: for being rolly and wrinkly, but it’s carried me to the finish line and through 5 incredible pregnancies. I don’t give it enough credit. Watching people arrive to Santiago is beautiful to witness - some people are crying, some celebrating and cheering, others just taking it all in.
