My watch tells me that I walked 20kms around the town yesterday - guess I missed it!

Yesterday was full of tearful ‘see you soons’ as Andre got on a bus in the morning; Giovanna in the evening. So strange to be so connected to people when you’ve only known each other for less than two weeks but I suppose that’s what comes with being your most open self on the Camino.

Giovanna and I were lucky enough to get an inside tip from Adéle and attended the noon mass where they lit the Botafumeiro. The Boyafumeiro has swung since the Middle Ages to cleanse the air when pilgrims arrived after their long Camino de Santiago journey but is only scheduled a dozen times a year unless a special group makes an arrangement.
