    We often don't get to use the bus and train system in South Africa - this works much better than I thought it would 😂 seamlessly walked onto a bus, tapped my phone, off the bus and into the station, down 4 escalators into a train and now I'm on my way to the airport.

    This might not be as perfect as Charlie's documentation of his trip - but we're giving it a go.

    As usual, morning of the flight and bags are being packed (I can think of a few people that would be appalled even by the thought of this😂)

    Don't be fooled by the Emirates pyjamas in the corner, those were a gift. The only time I've ever seen one of those luxurious seats is when they painstakingly make you walk through them in order to get to my bucket with a seat belt at the back of the plane.    Read more

    We have touch down!

    Even with a plastic tray for a plate and wooden cutlery, that was the best airline food I've ever had.

    I may not have gotten a Charcuterie board but the small brie triangle definitely made it feel like it 😂 having red wine and champagne on a flight was also a first for me but we couldn't pass up the opportunity.

    Everyone knows the saying - when on AirFrance you order champagne and red wine to have with your brie cheese. 🥂🍾    Read more

    The wheels on the bus!

    And the bus trip begins, onwards to France we go!

    From a flying bus to a bus...bus (I probably could've had a better joke there)

    Although it's another 2 hours to drive back to France......just after you've flown 40 mins out of France - the IMMENSE leg room compared to the flight makes it a very enjoyable bus trip 😂

    Settled in!

    Okay, bus trip complete, keys acquired and room located!

    I take back everything I said about the bus, for some reason they gave us a driver who could honestly rival Pierre Gasly (also French), every corner was taken at Mach 3, on a road that was really only designed for one car yet somehow everyone decided they could squeeze two on😂

    It was a bit of a mission to get the keys and find our apartment but as usual.....the view is stunning. No complaints.

    And we were pleasntly surprised about the amount of snow once we made it to the top! We were a bit worried by the lack of white and the extensive amount of green grass everywhere 😂

    Day 1 of boarding comes to an end, very successful day on the slopes - no one was hurt, new boots and bindings work like a charm and now I have a beer in hand!

    Little bit of a late start, who would've thought we would be tired after a day of so boarding 😂 but we go again!

    I haven't woken up this stiff in quite some time, need to do some morning stretches honestly.

    But we've started the morning the "right way" and even scoffed down some cereal.

    (Forgot to give a dinner update last night so you've also got a sneak peak into our pizza night)

    Day 2 winding down

    Another successful day on the mountain 😁

    Made our way over to the Swiss side of things, and over the Swiss wall, an extremely steep and very "mogully" slope that we decided may not be a good idea for day 2 😂

    We did enjoy a hot chocolate at the top of said wall though ☕ (<--- this is as close to hot chocolate I could find)

    Made our way over to a specific spot that has the cheapest hot chocolates we've found on previous trips. Only thing is that it's a 2 hour snowboarding and lift maze to get here 😂

    Decided we wouldn't know what it's like to snowboard in this weather if we didn't try - I can confirm that our suspicions were correct 😂

    But I seem to remember some young Emirates pilot saying something along the lines of "GO DO SOMETHING FOR THE FIRST TIME"

    Got back from our short outing and had some more hot chocolate (of course we did), followed by Limon cello (2nd best to gin 😉)

    Woke up this morning and still couldn't see a thing outside but it was no longer break day, so we had to brave this new world, and my god am I glad we did 🤩

    The snow was insane!!! Honestly the best snowboarding experience I've ever had in my life (which to be fair isn't many experiences😂). I've got lots of photos and videos so I might need to split the videos over two foot prints
