02.04.2024 Auckland New Zealand Day 3/3

    February 4 in New Zealand ⋅ ⛅ 75 °F

We are back on the Hop On-Hop Off bus today going to the Auckland War Museum and Wintergarden.
We start at the Wintergarden. There are two greenhouses packed full of plants and flowers. The begonias are larger than Myron’s fist. The grounds are very pretty.
We trek back up the hill to tour the war museum. Very well done with some wonderful war exhibits including the Māori people who are the natives of New Zealand.
After getting back on the bus we headed back towards town to find lunch.
As we meandered the streets we came
across two churches. St Matthew from 1902 and St Patrick from 1842.
We had lunch at White and Wongs at the harbor. The chicken money bags were delicious.
Diana went shopping for a little while and Myron watched the street artist perform.
Tonight we went to Burt and Todd’s who are in the aft Explorer suite down the hall from us for sail away.
Following dinner in the World Cafe we attended the Star Theater entertainment of pianist Brad McCaw.
    Off to bed.
