Sunday we went to our neighbors, Kathy and Rick's, for cocktails, conversation and Kathy's homemade deserts... yum!
They have a beautifully landscaped property including a pond with some monster koi.
Monday we met our pickleball pals, Jim and Angie, for lunch in Wilsonville. They spend half the year in Dalles, Oregon. Next time we see them will be this winter in SoCal.
Friday we headed north to Gig Harbor, Washington to visit Gary and Carrie and see their new home. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gig_Harbor,_Was… Carrie made a delicious pizza for lunch and Gary prepared cedar planked salmon for dinner. We were joined by their son Martin and his friend Kelly. We haven't seen Martin in six years and now he's an officer in the Marine Corp. Saturday morning we took a long walk around the harbor with a stop at Heritage Distilling for a tasting. https://heritagedistilling.com/
Later that afternoon Gary treated us to a two hour boat tour of the harbor, under the Narrows Bridge, Point Defiance and Salmon Beach. We saw harbor seals and bald eagles and learned a lot about the area's history. http://destinyharbortours.com/
We ended our day with a scrumptious dinner at Morso. Sunday we enjoyed breakfast on the deck at Netshed No.9.
Many thanks Gary and Carrie for your hospitality, friendship and sharing your beautiful new home with us.Leer más
