We've been curious about the two nuclear cooling towers across hwy 12 so on Monday we checked them out. What was to be the Satsop Nuclear Power Plant is now the Satsop Business Park.https://www.satsop.com/
We've also seen thousands of diesel powered Volkswagens parked in lots at the business park and around Hoquiam. Apparently they're waiting to be fixed after the recall.

We continued to Westport for lunch and a long walk along Main Street and the marina. On the way home we tasted wine and strolled the gardens at Westport Winery. https://www.westportwinery.com/
Wednesday we drove into Olympic National Park/Forest and historic Lake Quinault Lodge where we hiked 5+ miles through the rain forest on the Quinault Loop Trail then stopped to admire the world's largest sitka spruce. http://rainforestgetaways.com/html/valley_of_ra…https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recarea…
Thursday we move east for a two week stay in Silver Creek.
