Thursday we traveled 90 miles north into the Salinas Valley to Yanks RV Resort in Greenfield, California. A very nice park nestled among vineyards and row crops.

Friday we tasted wine at Scheid Vineyards then had an early dinner at Tacos La Potranca in King City...delicious! 🌮🌯
Saturday morning was spent at the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas. Very informative and gave us a better appreciation of the region and of the author. http://www.steinbeck.org/ Afterwards we strolled old town Salinas, including the farmer's market, then had a bite to eat at the Steinbeck House Restaurant where John Steinbeck was born and raised. http://steinbeckhouse.com/
The afternoon was spent at Pinnacles National Park where we went to the visitors center then drove to Chaparral and took a short hike. Beautiful vistas, huge boulders and wildflowers galore. https://www.nps.gov/pinn/index.htm
We ended our day with a leisurely tasting at
Chalone Vineyards. Yummy wines and pretty views.
