I get up at 6am to meet Sam at the wet Market. Today they have a vinyl night in the cafe and Sam and I will cook the food this afternoon, but first we have to go to the markets to buy the ingredients. The market has everything from fresh fish to meat and vegetables. We purchase our ingredients before dropping them off at the cafe and heading for a walk along the river for an hour. Afterwards she takes me to a local place for breakfast of noodles. The place is packed and it's obvious why the noodles are unique as the 3 generations stand around pots pulling fresh pasta into pots of boiling broth. A quick shower and I head back to Limau Limau to start the prep work. I've loved spending time with Sam and Jason and to get the opportunity to cook has been amazing. We've cooked veggie chilli with homemade salsa guacamole and tortilla chips. As we're cooking we keep realising we've forgotten ingredients and poor Jason has about 5 additional trips to the shop. James videos us cooking and we just about finish in time before the guests arrive. Its pretty much a full house and such an array of people. Shereen who is local and her partner from Australia. 2 ladies Karen and her friend who now both live in Australia but originally from Melaka. I can definitely see why they come back. Were also joined by James and Michelle Later in the evening we go upstairs and I'm blown away. Jason has so much vinyl and his memorabilia on the beatles is extensive. We play music and dance the night away before having our group photos taken. A day and night I will never forget and will treasure forever.Baca lagi
