Mt. Noulja - Vegetation Inventory

This day would become our most exhausting day of the excursion. After a delicious breakfast (we were already used to it) we climbed up Mt. Njoulia, 1164 m above sea level. We had lunch close to the top under very windy conditions, but nice view over the lake. At the peak we divided in half and analysed plants at specific heights (1050, 950, 850 m altitude) in 300° and 120° direction. Our highlight was a herd of reindeer, whose we could (had to) approach quite close. We also got a glimpse a white reindeer, who are rare.Read more
