• Cave Tubing

    March 11 in Belize ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

After a short hike through the beautiful jungle, we spent an exhilarating day cave tubing. This was a new experience for us and we had a blast. We had a chance to swim in the cool clear water, jump off a cliff, go under a waterfall and wade through a low narrow section to feel the real experience of caving. At times we floated down the river solo in our tubes and for other sections we were all looped together, braving the rapids as a single unit. We saw a lot of unique and stunning formations on the cave walls and ceiling, including lots of bat holes. At the end of it all we shared a delicious lunch of stewed chicken, rice, beans, coleslaw and fried plantains along with a drink of hibiscus juice. It doesn’t get more typical than that!Read more
