Palais del Rei to Melide

Once more we were in the wave of pilgrims. Today it threatened rain and it did rain. We actually had to pull out our ponchos. It was cold too. I was fine hiking. We started hiking and 10C. Comfortable hiking weather usually and it’s fine until you stop and clothes are wet both outside and inside from sweat and rain.

There is an elusive bird here that we keep seeing and refuses to be photographed. I believe they call it a Pica here. I think it is a magpie: black and white bird. We are also seeing what I believe are wrens or warblers. Little birds with an orange chest.Read more
