Enchanté France!

I adore the French word “enchanté”, it translates to “enchanted to meet you”. That’s exactly how I feel about my nearly 6 week cycling tour of the southern portion of this land.

We’ve arrived in Marseille, after a wonderful, hilly day riding through oak groves, rocky promontories under clear blue skies.

It’s chilly now - 50 degrees F - but pedaling and good gear keeps us warm. We always stop for a yummy lunch and picnic during the day, and today’s was again perfect. Fresh pain, frommage and fruit. Perhaps a bit of chocolate!

Now, it’s transition time for me. Preparing my mind, body to get on an airplane and “fly” halfway across the globe. Back to my home in the Pacific Northwest. Charley will carry on to Italy, Croatia and farther south - “bon journey!”Read more
