    Pumba game park

    March 29 in South Africa ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

Arrival in Port Elizabeth this morning about 0900. We headed out to a private game park to have our first game drive. Wow doesn't even cover it. At one point, the beauty of these animals living so well in this region was just overwhelming. After leaving the cosmopolitan Capetown and arriving in Port Elizabeth, our way of seeing and being was transformed. Pumba is 7000 hectares. ( approximately 17,300 acres)

We saw the following animals in no particular order.
African elephant; African buffalo; white rhinoceros; wildebeest; Blesbuch; kudu; Nyala; Impala; Giraffe; white lions; Cape Grysbuck; plains zebra; hippopotamus; warthogs; black-baked jackal.

So we saw 4/5 of the big five... and as our guide said. You did not see him but he saw you.....
Tomorrow is a welcome day at sea. Headed north along the coast for more adventures. If u have my original schedule, it has changed for security, logistical, and health reasons. Stay tuned.
