Thu Oct 6, 1:00 pm: John Hancock Tower

Next stop was the John Hancock Tower. The entire 94th floor is an observation platform that is over a thousand feet above street level. You get an amazing view of the entire city from an angle you don't normally see. The Willis Tower( (formally Sears Tower) is taller, but you evidently don't get a full 360° view.

They had the special area that you paid extra to go to where you stand facing the window and then the entire ledge of the building tilts out and now you're facing down at the street. It doesn't tilt that far, but it feels far when you're the one looking down.

Since that's the sort of thing that Russell would pay very good money to NOT do. It was the perfect time for me to experience it when he wasn't there.Læs mere
