They were doing some work on the tracks, so they couldn't pull the train up to the platform. We had to stop on a different track, and then walk across the tracks to get to the platform. Which means they offloaded the baggage for us., so that we could use both hands for stability.

My red bag was the same color, and a very similar shape, to the laundry bags they use for the bedding on the train, so it almost got left behind because they thought it wasn't a passenger's bag.

But it all worked out in the end. I have a 7 hour layover, so I'm going to spend the first couple of those hours getting all caught up on this blog.Read more
