    Heading South-East: Slow Trekking Back Home

    On our way back, we found a farm campground called How’s the Serenity, just 20 minutes out of Dubbo. It’s a fantastic spot for a night’s rest. Not much to do except sit back and relax, which is exactly what we needed.

    We had a bit of a scare on the road—almost hit a kangaroo that jumped in front of us (check out the video). You hear about it happening, but it still catches you off guard, especially in the middle of the day. Karen’s comment summed it up well.

    The weather was rough when we got here—strong winds and some rain. It’s calmed down now, but it’s pretty cold. We’ve got a fire going, though, so everything’s good.
