    Day 30 Around Karratha.
Jeez what a surprise it was blowing a gale again this morning and cold. A bloke at the bar last night mentioned it was the coldest he had seen for over 10 years, just my luck. Headed to Point Samson this morning to have a Gekko, glad we didn’t stay there. Bugger all to do. It could have been better is it wasn’t so windy. Went and checked out the old pearling town of Cossack it is different to what I remember but worth seeing the history. Headed back and checked out Dampier then out to Ngajarli (Deep George) - Burrup Peninsula to check out the hieroglyphs. It was very impressive. Shame it was still blowing a gale. They reckon there are over a million hieroglyphs ranging over thousands of years in this small area. The overflow area we are staying in is no chokkas full of vans. Went into Karratha and had dinner in Stadium 26 sports bar. I had 1kg of mussels in Chilli sauce. It was the best chilli mussels I have had in a few years. Heading to 80 Mile Beach tmw on our way to Broome. Hope this bloody wind pisses offRead more
