Steep Point - Day 1

So we decided to ditch the vans for a few nights and sleep out in some miniature tents 😂😂 while we explored Steep Point the most westerly point in Australia.

The first night we had a camp booked at False Entrance, it took 3.5hours from our caravan park to get there, half of that was along a 4WD track. As soon as we pulled up the boys couldn’t wait to get a line in the water. Steep point is renowned for its land based fishing. Unfortunately, the only thing caught that arvo was a Long Tom, meanwhile Kat, Cassie, the kids and I sat sweltering in the heat on the cliff top entertaining the kids.

Us ladies were hanging for a swim, we finally got to drive along the beach and found a beautiful spot to pull up when we came across a car that was severely bogged! There went our swim! The boys of course were more than happy to help and got the winch out. Us girls left them to it and walked down the beach were we did find some beautiful shells.Read more
