• Steep Point - Day 2

    18. mai 2021, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

This morning, Brett and Shaun went for a fish with the boys who they helped get unbogged yesterday. Whilst there, they found out that there was another way to drive up to the tip. We could all feel a ‘Brett's Adventure’ coming on. We decided to take the coastal cliff drive to Steep Point, rather than the main road up the middle.

It was such a great drive, we got to see so many amazing things along the drive. As Shaun pulled into the first bay, he was on the radio as right on the shore was a school of sharks. The boys threw a line in but had no luck.

In the next bay, there was lots of fossils to look, as well as bones and shells making up the layers of the rocks.

Thunder Bay blow holes were scary, we were worried we may lose a child down them, only one was blowing, but the rumbling and hissing that was coming from under the rocks was like nothing we have ever heard before.

Then, we followed the sea cliffs right up to Steep Point where the boys threw a line in and started to catch some Blue Line Emperor.

We were lucky enough to score a camp spot right on the cliffs at Steep Point and woke up with water views.
