    Gibb River Road Day 6
    Adcock Gorge

We nearly bypassed this little gem. The reviews on Wiki camps were that the pool was stagnate and no good for swimming, but then the Frenchies that we had seen at all the gorges said it had been their favourite and the water was beautiful. So on our way back down the track we called in and boy are we glad we did, not only did we pretty much get this gorge mostly to our selves, it was stunning and only a 5min walk from the car park ( thank goodness as we were all feeling a little worse for wear today!).

We swam and laid on the rocks like lizards. The kids tried hard to spear the fish that were swimming in the gorge.

A little while later after we had been swimming and talking to a family that had turned up, a big croc submerged in the middle of the water. I was not quick enough to grab my camera, he had a breath, looked around and was gone again.

After a day of lazing around it was time to move on, we had a big drive as we decided we were going to do Windjana gorge in the morning. We got to a free camp, but got creeped out. There was items left behind and it was very isolated, so we left and went to the paid camp at Windjana. $40 to camp on a patch of dirt 😩, also as we drove in we got a flat tyre. We made it along the whole Gibb with no car troubles and then at a camp ground get a nail in our tyre! Brett was spewing.

Windjana you better be worth it 🤣
