Kenny’s Aussie Adventures 2023

What an eventful day.

First up, Brett and I went for our morning walk, we walked around the whole Island, all 1.6 kms of it 😂😂.

We came back and headed up for a snorkel. Brax came along, but poor Lachie's chafe was giving him grief so he stayed behind. We got in at the end of the jetty and were greeted by masses of fish. As it is a marine protection zone, the fish are not scared and you get to swim with them. We finished up by going into the sea grass area and swimming with a few turtles 🐢 😍.

It was only 10am, so we got our stuff together and went back onto the island. We had decided to visit Marine World.

We saw Cassius, the largest crocodile in captivity. He measures in at 5.5m and is about 110 years old. He was huge! We spent plenty of time watching the clown fish clean and hide in their anemones, they are so cute. We also checked out some other huge crocs, even know we have seen plenty in the wild they are still amazing to see up close.

Then it was time for lunch, what else do you eat on an island but hot chips. A swim to cool down and then it was time to head back.

The wind had picked up a bit more then predicted, so we knew it was not going to be a pleasant ride home. It was a very scary ride home, after a few minutes in I was ready to turn back and live on Green Island for the next two weeks until the wind dropped off again. But, Brett got us through and home safe and sound .

We washed the boat, got beer, new thongs, picked up dinner and drove home. It was at this point when I realised I had left my phone at the thong shop 😢. Luckily the lovely lady found it, emailed us and kept it safe.
Unfortunately, it means I had to drive back to Gordanvale to collect it 😔.もっと詳しく
