    Stanway to Winchcombe

    We walked 8 miles today. We are staying at Room Next Door, an apartment next to a family household. We have a hot tub at the stay at the end of the day!!

    The sun was out all during the walk and absolutely no rain or even a hint of clouds. The greens on the hillsides were so bright and we ate our fill of black berries. We went past Haile Abby ruins. Lots of impressive hills today.

    The town of Winchcombe is very Harry Potter like. We love it and decided to have an extra day here after discovering that we booked a stay tomorrow night in a place called Cheltenham Hill which is a suburb of Winchcombe and not the next trail town of Cheltenham. Happy accident! So, we’ll be touring the town and the nearby Sudley Castle in Winchcombe. Likely getting to the castle and walking the grounds will be a walking equivalent of our day on the trail.
