After a very nice eggs Benedict and eggs Florentine at the Falcon Inn, we made it another 9.5 miles today.

On this leg of the journey we passed the official halfway point marker that makes the spot one half way between Chipping Campden and Bath. Total miles 103.

We’ve put in about 10 miles in addition to the 50.1 miles that mark the halfway with our touring of castles and attractions and walking around cities once we arrive.

It was a good day, but the hills were hurting me a bit more than usual. It’s been an accumulation of aches and pains that caught up to me today. I was soooo happy to see the Rest Cafe that we had designated as our stopping point for today during planning last night. From there we got an Uber to our hotel (the Frocester George) that was a bit further off trail than some. No worries, booking a year in advance would have avoided the need to Uber, but really- who books a year in advance?? Not I.

Our dinner at the Frocester George was Brixham plaice fillet and Sweet potato ratatouille and brie bake. We had hot chocolate with cinnamon as a warm up.
