    Day One

    July 27, 2016 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

After 15.5 hours of flying with no sleep I've finally made it to Bali and the beautiful Bliss Sanctuary.
I was greeted at the airport by the driver, Ketut (yes that is his name) and driven 45min to the suburb of Canggu. It is close to a local beach, apparently only a 5min walk.
Upon arrival I was greeted with a warm hug from my hostess, Esther and a cool freshly squeezed fruit juice from the cook, Vika. Esther and I discussed what things I would like to do while I'm here and showed me around the villas.
The place is small but cosy, with everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is fully stocked and Vika is more than happy to create dishes for you throughout the day. The kitchen is a communal area and as Esther said 'just treat it like home'.
My room is spacious, with everything you could want, air con, tv, pay tv, dvd, aromotherapy burner, safe, king size bed and more. Each room has its own bathroom attached, I say bathroom as it is a full size bathroom not an ensuite. It is partially outdoors, so no fan is required.
Esther had already booked me in for my first 90min massage after lunch today. The lovely Vera was my massuse. She worked wonders on my tired body and my swollen feet. Still a bit puffy but heaps better.
So just chilling by the pool at the moment, trying to stay awake and reset my body clock to Bali time. I must admit I did nod off during the massage!😴

  • Day Two

    July 28, 2016 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 27 °C

My day started slowly, had a great 11 hour sleep overnight and felt good when I woke up. Dressed and went and put my order in for breakfast, banana pancakes/fresh fruit/yoghurt and of course a large coffee. Went chilled outside and my brekkie was brought out in no time flat (see pic below).

At 11am I had my 90min pamper session for the day, today I went for an Aromotherapy massage, not as deep as yesterday's, but very relaxing and you finish smelling gorgeous.

In the afternoon, I went shopping in Seminyak Square. My driver today was Putu. He took me wherever I wanted to go, ATM, chemist and then onto Seminyak. Got some goodies and had a wander around. When I was ready to return all I had to do was call Putu and he returned to pick me up. It's great that when you arrive you are given a mobile phone, with all the numbers you will need (hostess Esther, all the drivers and the kitchen so if you are out and about you can ring through lunch or snack orders), once again this is all in the cost of your stay.
When setting up this sanctuary, they have thought of everything! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • Day Three

    July 30, 2016 in Indonesia ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

    Yesterday was pretty full on!
Firstly I met with the Tarot reader, Yorlunga. I had a reading for one hour and I was amazed at how accurate he was. He read past, present and future. I was glad I recorded the session because there was no way I would remember everything. It was quite an awakening.
Daily pamper session was next, this time I chose a hair treatment and body scrub. My hair and skin were so soft afterwards.
The rest if the day was spent around the pool and an afternoon 'nanna nap' before getting dressed up (Bali style-dress & thongs😝) and going for 'sundowners' (pre-dinner cocktails) at Finn's Beach Club.
Then back to Bliss for another amazing dinner, Balinese Seafood BBQ.
(Check out the photos of my sleeping cocoon!)
