Wat Preah Prom Rath

Also known as the Royal Fortune Buddha Temple, Wat Preah Prom Rath is one of the most beautiful pagodas in Siem Reap and Cambodia. It is located on the riverside near the Old Market. There are many statues in the temple grounds, colourful wall paintings, beautifully decorated rooms. and a large sleeping Buddha.

There is no clear date on when the pagoda was built, but what made it famous was the large sleeping Buddha in the main temple, which was installed in 1500. They made quite a few extensions to the main building and you will now see an academic building, as well as a library here.Meer informatie
