Back to Singapore

We left KL mid morning and flew back to Singapore this afternoon. It was bright and sunny when we landed but started raining by the time we arrived and checked into the Hilton on Orchard. Our rooms were on the same floor as last time, but a little further away from the lift. We checked into just as the Exec lounge started with evening drinks and snacks, so we went in for a quick pre dinner bite.

Our friends from Canberra (Rachel & Richard) were also in Singapore visiting parents, so we caught up for a meal at Fu Yuan Teochew Dining, serving Cantonese and Teochew cuisine in the heart of Clarke Quay. The unexpected tropical storm caused some delays with us meeting for dinner, but we got there in the end.
Rachel grew up in Singapore so we left the meal ordering up to her. The dishes were delicious and reminded me of the meals my grandparents used to cook at home. Czytaj więcej
