Sea turtles and starfish

After the failed attempt to go to Balabac we traveled 12 hours by bus, van and bus. When a long day of travelling came to an end, we reached Port Barton in the municipality of San Vincente. This place is exactly what we hoped to see in Balabac. A quiet and peaceful little town with only a few tourists, a lot of nature and a wide variety of wildlife.

I've never seen so many different butterfly species, some of them are as big as as birds. 😮 For the first time in my life I've encountered sea turtles in the ocean. We saw 2 different species of sea turtles (there are 5 different species of sea turtles in the Philippines 😍). And we saw a kind of starfish, we didn't even know existed. 😂

One of the islands we visited looked like a tropical paradise. On the first two evenings, we saw stunningly beautiful sunsets. The locals told us that Port Barton is famous (at least on the island of Palawan) for its beautiful sunsets.Weiterlesen
