San Marino day 1

June 25 in San Marino ⋅ ☀️ 86 °F

From Bologna I took a train to Rimini and then a bus to San Marino. Google told me that it was a nine minute walk to my hotel. I’ve walked across Spain, so I thought this would be fine, even with the big bag that at this point feels like a sack of every bad decision I’ve ever made. Anyway. Ha ha ha. This place is VERTICAL. Google thought it would be hilarious to have me walk up stairs with this bag.

My personal trainer Kristi would be so happy with the weight lifting and cardio I did today. That said, I should’ve taken a cab. BUT I lived and eventually made it to my hotel, which is a few rooms above a small restaurant. There’s an AC unit in my room, glory be.

After a shower, a little rest, and some sink laundry, I walked around a bit and found some dinner. This is a really interesting place. I’m taking a digital tour tomorrow so more about that later.Read more
