History in one's own life time is truly fascinating. Throughout my youth "The Troubles' was there, always on the news, a scary, scary place. Its scar is left on Derry, now a vibrant, safe, interesting city. I did a wee museum dander, then went off on a cycle. Sobering. At one point, I found myself in a dead end with 20' high fences all around, kerb stones and lamp posts painted red, white and blue. A screaming loyalist area. I felt uneasy. It must have been shit back then for your average punter.Read more

10 days sitting for Ruger, 2nd time round. He is just the best companion. He's well trained and great off lead, SO calm, plods along at a pace that's perfect for me. And he has the funniest quirks that make me laugh often.
The house is kept at constant 20° so the weather is something that happens outside, not blowing through nooks and crannies inside.
Just all very relaxing.
