St. Andrews

For once, the forecast was wrong, and we woke to beautiful weather!

Our first stop was Grand Falls' waterfall and gorge. The waterfall is the largest waterfall east of Niagara Falls, dropping 23 meters (75 feet) into a sheer faced gorge. The gorge is approx. 1.5 km in length. Too bad the power dam ruins it for photos.

Next was the "world's" longest covered bridge in Hartland. Very cool!

Then, we hiked to Hays Falls via the Mariseet Trail. The trail was only 3 km, but it felt like it was uphill, both ways! LOL

And, finally, we met up with our Texas friends, Ed and Claudia, at the Kiwanis Oceanfront RV Park in St. Andrews, which is on the Bay of Fundy. Had our first, and probably not our last, fish and chip dinner. Great company and a delicious meal. Can't think of a better way to end a fabulous day!Read more
