• Bye Bye PEI

    3. juli 2023, Canada ⋅ 🌧 22 °C

Boo! It was raining buckets, and the forecast for the next few days was the same. That said, we cut our PEI stay short and headed to Nova Scotia but not before stopping in Charlottetown.

I got to see one more lighthouse before Garry refused to drive down another bumpy, muddy road. Hopefully, he'll forget that when we get to Newfoundland!

I think I have relatives in PEI as there is a town called Pinette! Also, a provincial park, but it has been closed down. Kinda cool!

Charlottetown's historic downtown was quaint, the Province House (the oldest legislative building in Canada) was being refurbished, and St. Dunstan's Basilica was closed, but we got to see the outside, just beautiful! Unfortunately, Garry feels the same about churches as he does lighthouses. Resisted their ice cream and instead bought some cheese at Cows Creamery - what a business!

Back over the Confederation Bridge, $50.25 poorer, and onto NS.

Anyway, we boondocked at the Fundy Tidal Interpretative Center in Maitland, NS, where they study the tidal bore.
