    Hiking the Cabot Trail

    July 8, 2023 in Canada ⋅ ☁️ 24 °C

Had a hardy breakfast, bacon, eggs and hashbrowns and of course coffee in anticipation of our planned hikes.

Skyline Loop Trail (8 km) meanders up and down through the highlands and passes cliffs that overlook the rugged coastline and ocean. You can also see the Cabot Trail as it winds its way down the mountain and vehicles look like toys. The only negative is that it was very very busy.

Contrarily, the Macintosh Brook Trail (4.5 km) was quiet and winded through the forest and ended at a waterfall. Loved this trail! I can't get enough seeing waterfalls!

Driving the Cabot Trail is like riding a roller coaster! The speed limit ranges from 25 to 80 km/hr. The view were breathtaking!

We are camped at Ingonish Beach Campground. Enjoyed a super long shower and we are now having a happy hour cocktail before our dinner. A terrific day!

    Tomorrow...more hiking.
