Franey Trail

OMG, I thought the Matthews Head Trail in New Brunswick was tough, but the Franey Trail today made it look like a cakewalk! This 7 km trail had more roots, rocks, boulders, and an elevation of 1,400 feet and took us 3 1/2 hours. We were foolish thinking our daily five mile walk in "flat" Manitoba would have conditioned us.
But the weather was beautiful, the forrest was lush and the views were fantastic.

Once we rested and had some lunch, we finished the Cabot Trail, some parts with a 12.7% grade! We are now in Sydney. Tomorrow, we see the Fortress of Louisbourg.

BTW, we are one month into our trip in this tiny motorhome, and we still held hands today. 😁Weiterlesen
