    Gros Morne Coastal Trail

    July 24, 2023 in Canada ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

Yesterday's late night resulted in a late morning, but that was okay as the fog was so thick we couldn't have seen or done anything earlier on.

Once we started the Gros Morne Coastal Trail, I thought I was on a movie set for The Hobbit! The trees here are called Tuckamore. Tuckamores are spruce and firs that have been stunted by the continued onslaught of wind and salt spray. They become crooked, gnarled, and twisted in. So different from the tall spruce and pine trees back home!

Had a late lunch/ early supper at a mom and pop restaurant - delish!
