Route 66 Through Flagstaff

Route 66 follows the train tracks through town. A piece of the original road through the city has been made into a park. The Visitor Center is in part of the train depot, which is still in use. About 100 trains pass through Flagstaff on a typical day. Another part of the road was realigned near old town, and many old buildings have been repurposed. There are still lots of old-fashioned motels and eateries along Route 66, as well as the Museum Club, a dance hall.Read more
