Today we visited the WW2 museum. A heavy emotional day that we had mentally prepared for. It was good to read about the war from the Polishes experiences, much of which we were not aware of. We sat in the cafe after with coffee in silent reflection, a heavy morning.
After lunch we went for a Hewelion hunt then to St Mary's to see the famous Astronomical clock made by Hans Duringer. Unfortunately photos were not allowed as it's a place of worship ( not that you would know from the mass of people treating it like a visitor centre) so I've screenshot a Google image. A little walk around the old town bought us to the Red Light Pub. Very cosy microbrewery where we met KiKi who was visiting Gdansk for the 15th time!! Dinner was in Whiskey in the Jar (Kikis recommendation). A lovely meal but maybe a bit to American for our Polish holiday. A lovely evening walk home bought us past the Gdansk city sign lighting up the night sky. A beautiful end to another day.
