• Sensational Segway Sunrise 🌅

    June 10 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 5 °C

Sprang outta bed at 5am: 3 degrees 🥶
Weaving along pitch black roads as the sun began to rise… painting the horizon with a burnt orange light promising a magical sunrise over Uluru.

Gliding around the base of Uluru on a Segway was pure joy — like floating along a silent conveyor belt, effortlessly rolling through red dust and ancient stories. The tour made it easy to soak in the scale and spirit of the rock without the strain of walking, letting the breeze brush past as we cruised quietly from site to site. We paused at the visible “scar” where people once climbed the rock — now a fading reminder of a practice that’s no longer allowed out of deep respect for Anangu law. Along the way, we passed many sacred areas where photos were not permitted, honouring the wishes of the Traditional Owners and reminding us that some stories are not ours to share, only to witness.

Such a fun and beautiful way to spend a memorable moment in time! If only I could be on holiday every day!
